We Gather to Worship Our God

Song of  Preparation and Gathering: Man of Sorrows

Pastor Bruce welcomes us to worship and God’s Greeting

Psalm 133:1,4: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”

Romans 12:5 “In Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” The Lord has given us a new family. As we place our faith in Jesus, we belong not only to Him but also to a community of brothers and sisters who gather in His name.

Song of Praise: Come People of the Risen King

Our New Life in Christ

Pastor Bruce leads us in prayer

Words of Assurance: 1 Peter 2:9-10  “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. In Christ we are forgiven, redeemed and made to be a community united in faith. Thanks be to God.”

Prayer of Confession and Prayers of the People

Song of Thanksgiving: O How Good It Is

We Go Out in Faith

Pastor Bruce leads us in our shared Testimony of Faith and gives us God’s Blessing

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

God’s Blessing to His People

Closing Song: You Are My All in All
